Seller Guidelines

1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Tafit Auction.

These guidelines are designed to help you create effective listings, attract real buyers, and successfully sell your items.

Following these best practices will increase your chances of getting more bids and higher final prices.


2. CREATE HIGH-QUALITY LISTINGS

✅ Use Clear Titles

Good:

  • “Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra – 256GB – Excellent Condition”

Avoid:

  • “Phone for sale”
  • “Good deal”

✅ Add Detailed Descriptions

Include:

  • Brand and model
  • Condition (new, used, refurbished)
  • Any defects or issues
  • Included items (charger, box, accessories)

Honesty builds trust and reduces disputes.


3. USE QUALITY IMAGES (VERY IMPORTANT)

  • Upload real photos of the item
  • Use good lighting (natural light preferred)
  • Show multiple angles
  • Highlight any damage or wear

Listings with clear photos receive more bids.


4. SET THE RIGHT PRICE

Starting Bid

  • Set a low starting bid to attract attention

Buy Now (Optional)

5. CHOOSE THE RIGHT CATEGORY

Select the correct category to help buyers find your item faster.

6. AUCTION TIMING

  • Run auctions for 3–7 days
  • End auctions in the evening (6PM–9PM) when users are active

7. COMMUNICATE WITH BUYERS

  • Respond to questions quickly
  • Be clear and professional
  • Provide additional details if requested

Active sellers get more trust and more bids.


8. DELIVERY & COLLECTION

Clearly state:

  • Pickup location (e.g., “Port of Spain”, “Chaguanas”)
  • Delivery options (if available)
  • Any delivery costs

Be realistic and clear to avoid confusion.


9. COMPLETE TRANSACTIONS PROMPTLY

After your item is sold:

  • Contact the buyer
  • Arrange payment confirmation
  • Deliver or hand over item promptly

Fast completion builds your reputation.


10. AVOID COMMON MISTAKES

Do NOT:

  • Post fake or misleading listings
  • Use stock images only
  • Ignore buyer messages
  • Cancel auctions without reason

These reduce trust and may result in account restrictions.
